NORMA A/S makes Seasonal Holiday donation to Medecins sans Frontieres

In care for people in need, NORMA A/S has made a donation to the humanitarian cause of bringing urgent medical relief.

MSF was founded in Paris in 1971 under the name of Médecins Sans Frontières – the name of the organization which is best known internationally. We have offices in 19 countries and projects in more than 60 countries, out more than 3000 doctors, nurses, logisticians and other personnel to crisis and disaster areas.

The primary task of MSF is to provide urgent medical relief, but what is calle témoignage - to be present and to be witness to the inhuman conditions that exist in many places in the world - is an equally important part of thework.

Every day, MSF is treating thousands of people around the world - often work in areas where other organizations do not exist and provide aid to those most in need regardless of race, sex, religion and political opinion.

Private, non-earmarked funds are essential for MSF. They enable to respond quickly and effectively to humanitarian crises and natural disasters.

Non-earmarked funds also allow us to keep administrative costs quite low, so the funds go to those most in need. At least 80% of our revenue goes directly to relief efforts.

In 1999 MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize for our work.

NORMA celebrates 20 years anniversary

Knowledge, expertise and dedication are basic elements in The NORMA approach. Our staff are therefore our key asset and the reason for the success of NORMA – and of our partners. That is the way it is today. And that’s the way it was in 1990 when NORMA opened for business.

“It has to be fun to go to work,” said Minga Liljeström back then, and now, 20 years later, the vision still holds for Norma’s close to 100 dedicated staff members across six countries. The vision forms the backbone of the way we approach studies and do business.

The Norma staff’s combined experience and the ability to share our expert knowledge across teams enable us to offer our partners high-quality service and flexible, second-to-none solutions. In the last two years, our dedication and commitment have led, for instance, to several regional preferred partnerships.

The fast development of the pharmaceutical industry leaves no time to rest on our laurels. The speed-to-market is constantly being challenged, and Norma therefore focuses on long-term (patient) recruitment strategies, which together with our strong geographical coverage prepares us for tomorrow’s demands from our partners.
